In December 2014 the US congress voted to give President Obama approval to supply Ukraine with 350 million dollars worth of lethal aid, training and defense equipment over a 3 year period. Sanctions were also part of the package.
Again in July congress passes a resolution voting in favor of sending lethal aid to Ukraine. If the US start to officially support the Ukrainian army with weaponry and on the ground assistance this could mark a real turning point in the Geo political situation and would be adding more fuel to an already out of control fire.
The US congress voted in favor of sending another 200 million in lethal aid to Ukraine which could push Russia to openly start arming the self defense militias in the east of Ukraine with equipment and assistance in order to counter act the US’s actions on its door step.
President Obama for his part has stopped short of officially supplying lethal aid to Ukraine but evidence shows us that US weapons have found their way to the front lines, the latest documented case is that of the stinger missiles found at Lughansk air port.
Plans are underway at the Pentagon to send a powerful military radar to Ukraine the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday 22nd of July, US officials have stressed that this radar system is not part of the 200 million in lethal aid and did not belong in the category of offens
ive and lethal weapons.
Up on till now the militias were using equipment acquired in the field seizing tanks, troop carriers, weapons and ammunition. A good example would be that of the battle for Debaltsevo when thousands of Ukrainian troops fled leaving behind fully operational battle tanks and huge amounts of weapons and ammunition, the same thing happened at Donetsk airport, this is repeated across the battlefield.
Russia has been blamed on supporting as well as supplying the peoples militias in the east of Ukraine with weaponry and assistance, with little hard evidence to prove this other than finding Russian made weapons in the possession of the militias Western media outlets point out. This should not come as much surprise of course considering Ukraine was a soviet state, has always had Russian equipment on its soil mostly Soviet era equipment.
Sleepwalking into World War 3 . . .
There are a group of individuals within the US political establishment who are and have been pushing to escalate the situation against Russia, fighting a proxy war on its door step, arming and supporting the Ukrainian military in a fight against what they say is Russian aggression, which does not really hold bases in reality, and then the push to lay even more economic sanctions on Russia.

Since the end of the Cold war and the collapse of the Soviet Union, NATO has slowly encircled an ever growing Russia. The encirclement of Russia has been a policy pushed by the US for many years. The US/NATO lead bombing of formerly known Yugoslavia served as a notice to any country or establishment not willing to toe the line, this same thing has repeated the world over with color revolutions, funding of groups and organizations to instigate uprisings, or setting up a set of circumstances which would then lead to “humanitarian intervention” like that seen in former Yugoslavia and more recently Libya.
“There clearly is an attempt to restrain our development with different means. There is an attempt to freeze the existing world order … with one incontestable leader who wants to remain as such thinking he is allowed everything while others are only allowed what he allows and only in his interests,” Putin said.
A number of ex Baltic states have become bastions of the US housing US troops and military equipment. NATO war games and shows of US might have become more regular as time progresses, the information war escalates and Russaphobia has become rampant in the mainstream media. Now the world faces a threat of another World War which is the greatest threat since anytime after the Cold War.
The not so silent coup in Ukraine . . .
In my past articles i outlined the involvement of prominent US political figures in the overthrow of the democratically elected Yanakovych government on the 22nd of February 2014. It’s a fact that some people and media organizations neglect to acknowledge that an outside backed overthrow of a democratically elected government had taken place right on the doorstep of Russia, backed and funded by the US.
It was a revolution which was constructed and backed by various outside players and institutions within. Various NGO’s funded by George Soros which were involved in the ‘Euro Maidan’ revolution had one goal and that was to promote what they would call a ‘Democratic transformation’ in the country.
Many of those who took part in the ‘Euro Maidan’ revolution were pre prepared years before hand by NGO’s sponsored by International Renaissance Foundation (IRF) which was founded by Mr.Soros.
William F. Jasper researcher for the John Birch Society and Senior editor for The New American wrote in an article:
“Many of the participants in the Kiev ‘EuroMaidan’ demonstrations were members of Soros-funded NGOs and/or were trained by the same NGOs in the many workshops and conferences sponsored by Soros”
George Soros himself in an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria admitted that institutions he had set up had a big hand to play in events taking place in 2014’s Euro Maidan revolution in Ukraine.
“First on Ukraine, one of the things that many people recognized about you was that you during the revolutions of 1989 funded a lot of dissident activities, civil society groups in eastern Europe and Poland, the Czech Republic. Are you doing similar things in Ukraine?” Zakaria asked Soros.
“Well, I set up a foundation in Ukraine before Ukraine became independent of Russia. And the foundation has been functioning ever since and played an important part in events now,” Soros responded.
This over throw ultimately lead to the people of Crimea voting to succeed from Ukraine and to join Russia and the fluid situation we see now taken place. Mainstream outlets were quick to jump on the fact Russian soldiers were on the Crimean peninsula and were taking to the streets, invasion, occupation they screamed but this was not factually true.
Historically Crimea has always been part of Russia and has been base of the Black Sea fleet based in Sevastapol from 1793. At the time of the illegal overthrow of the Yanakovych government Russia had an already existing agreement in which they would be allowed to house a certain number of soldiers, 25,000 soldiers to be exact, this fact was neglected by the media and the invasion narrative continued.
In 1954 Crimea was gifted to Ukraine by Nikita Khruschev. In 1997 the agreement to allow Russian soldiers be based in Crimea was ratified by the Russian and Ukrainian parliaments in 1999. The deal allowed the Black Sea Fleet be based there up on till 2017, the agreement was extended for another 25 years in 2010.
Overwhelmingly the people of Crimea voted in favor of re-joining Russia, turnout was reported to have been around 80% but US and Western establishments put it much lower at around 65% turnout.
The people of the Lughansk and Donetsk peoples republics would have liked to become part of Russia but this was not the plan. President Putin made it clear that he had no intention to invade or to allow the peoples republics breakaway from Ukraine and join Russia just like the people of Crimea.
At the time US assistant sectary Victoria Nuland stated that the US had invested over 5 billion into what she called:
“The development of democratic institutions and skills in promoting civil society and a good form of government”
In leaked phone calls between Victoria Nuland and the Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt she stipulates what members of the US backed pre coup government will take what positions, nearly 3 weeks before the government had even fallen but the story line was set the government would fall and it would only be a matter of time.

Nuland: What do you think?
Pyatt: I think we’re in play. The Klitschko [Vitaly Klitschko, one of three main opposition leaders] piece is obviously the complicated electron here. … I think that’s the next phone call you want to set up, is exactly the one you made to Yats [Arseniy Yatseniuk, another opposition leader]. And I’m glad you sort of put him on the spot on where he fits in this scenario. And I’m very glad that he said what he said in response.
Nuland: Good. I don’t think Klitsch should go into the government. I don’t think it’s necessary, I don’t think it’s a good idea.
Pyatt: Yeah. I guess … just let him stay out and do his political homework and stuff. … We want to keep the moderate democrats together. The problem is going to be Tyahnybok [Oleh Tyahnybok, the other main opposition leader, head of the far-right Svoboda party] and his guys …
Nuland: [Breaks in] I think Yats is the guy who’s got the economic experience, the governing experience. He’s the … what he needs is Klitsch and Tyahnybok on the outside. He needs to be talking to them four times a week, you know. …

Just 3 weeks after this call was leaked the overthrow of the democratically elected government took place and then Victoria Nuland’s choice of leader was placed in government as Prime minister of Ukraine.
If we were to go on hard evidence and facts alone we can see who the clear aggressors are here and it certainly is not Russia, for all his faults and downfalls President Putin has played the smart game not being dragged into knee jerk tit for tat actions against an ever present threat on its borders from NATO and the US.
It’s clear the fight to retain the Old world order and status quo continues, the world is moving on, with the rise of BRICS and the fall of the dollar the old world order is falling and the rise of a new order is under way. What we see today from the US is the lashing out of an empire in trouble, the problem is if things continue the way they are the empire in its fall will drag the whole world with it.
