‘Reports have been coming in that a bomb threat had been the reason behind the cancellation of the international friendly between Germany and Netherlands at the Hanover stadium’

According to German Police, certain train lines will not be operating as usual stopping at each stop. The football match was called off an hour and a half before it was set to kick off. People who had shown up for the match were calmly told to leave the area via loudspeaker.

There were reports that explosives had been found, but this was not the case. Boris Pistorius, interior minister of the state of Lower Saxony, said that explosives had not been found. This contradicted earlier reports that an ambulance had been found packed with explosives outside the football stadium.
