‘On Thursday, Lebanon was struck by deadly twin car bombs killing 44 and injuring hundreds more, but on that day there was a man, who saved many lives with his heroic actions’
A man named Abdel Termos on the day of the bombings rushed one of the suicide bombers, blocking many from the blast. Adel lost his life, his young daughter was also among those who lost their lives on that fateful day.
“He tackled him to the ground, causing the second suicide bomber to detonate,” blogger and physician Elie Fares told PRI. “There are many many families, hundreds of families probably, who owe their completeness to his sacrifice.”
Thursdays deadly car bombs happened a day before the deadly attacks in Paris which left 120 people dead. The Islamic State terror group have claimed responsibility for both attacks.
Mr.Termos is being hailed as a hero not only across Lebanon but the world for his courageous actions.
