UN Security Council adopt French resolution for a global fight against the Islamic State

French proposals for a global fight against the Islamic state has been adopted by the United Nations security council. The 15 members of the council voted in favor of the resolution which means a global coordinated campaign may very well be on the way.

“a global and unprecedented threat to international peace and security”

We will be sure to see a ramping up of airstrikes against the Islamic state, both in Iraq and Syria.
