8 police killed in attacks in Egypt by people waving Daesh(ISIS) flags

Policemen on patrol were killed in attacks by unidentified gunmen who went on to fire at passing police vehicles in Helwan, south of Cairo.

The men were reported to have been waving Daesh(ISIS) flags prior to the attack. In a statement by the Egyptian Interior Ministry said 9 policemen and one officer was slain. The gunmen immediately fled the scene after the attacks states, Egyptian newspaper Youm7.

The Egyptian ministry confirmed that there was, at least 5 attackers involved in attacking the police who were on a routine patrol.
